The dentist will prepare the teeth by roughening the surface. An etching and conditioning gel is applied. A tooth-colored material called resin is placed on the teeth and sculpted to the desired shape and texture. A high-intensity light is then used to harden (cure) the resin. Permanently bonding the resin to the teeth. The bonded resin is extremely strong.
